Real Estate Law
Legal support for the purchase, sale, lease, and transfer of rights in real estate.

Real estate transactions require a detailed review of the property’s legal status, ownership documentation, and any potential restrictions that may affect the transaction.
We provide comprehensive legal support, from document review and negotiations to drafting agreements, notarisation, and completing the transfer of rights.
For most people, buying or selling property is one of the biggest decisions of their life. Our job is to make sure that before you sign, you know exactly what you are buying and on what terms.
Areas of Practice
- Purchase and sale of real estate
- Legal due diligence of real estate
- Drafting preliminary agreements and contracts
- Lease agreements
- Mortgages and other security instruments
- Legalisation of buildings
- Disputes related to real estate transactions
How we approach your matter
Before any contract, we carry out legal due diligence on the property: registered ownership, encumbrances and annotations, the status of the building and the seller's authority to dispose of it. We explain our findings simply, with a recommendation on how to proceed.
We then draft or review the preliminary contract and the main contract, so that the price, deadlines, payment method and handover are clearly set out, and follow the transaction through notarisation and registration in the cadastre.
How we work together
- Due diligence: we review the documents and cadastre data before any payment is made.
- Contract: we prepare a contract that protects you, not only the other party.
- Notarisation: we arrange the signing and certification before a notary.
- Registration: we follow the procedure until your right is entered in the cadastre.
Worth knowing
In Serbia, a real estate transfer agreement is concluded as a notarially solemnised deed. A deposit or advance should not be paid before ownership and encumbrances on the property have been checked.
The most expensive mistake in a property deal is the one discovered after signing.
